Make your own way to Budapest, where your Holiday Director will meet you at your hotel. After checking in, get to know your travelling companions over a welcome drink, followed by a delicious dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 Christmas Eve, Budapest

After breakfast, your day begins with a guided tour of the Pest side of Budapest, where you’ll explore the heart of the city. Walk through its lively streets, learning about the city’s rich history and admiring iconic landmarks such as the Hungarian Parliament Building and St. Stephen’s Basilica. You will then visit the Zwack Unicum Museum, where you’ll be introduced to Hungary’s famous herbal liqueur, Unicum. Here, you’ll discover the story behind the drink and even have the opportunity to sample this bittersweet aperitif. Afterward, you’ll have some free time for lunch, where you can explore local cafés and restaurants. In the afternoon, the magic of Budapest comes alive as you visit its famous Christmas markets. Wander through the festive stalls, filled with handcrafted decorations, seasonal treats, and the scent of mulled wine. In the evening, return to the hotel to enjoy dinner together. Day 3 Christmas Day, Szentendre

Merry Christmas! Today, we'll embark on an excursion to Szentendre, a charming town just outside Budapest, known for its cobblestone streets and colourful houses. This picturesque town is also a hub for art and culture, with numerous galleries and craft shops. While in Szentendre, you’ll participate in a mulled wine and chimney cake workshop. During this hands-on experience, you’ll learn how to make the iconic chimney cake, a sweet pastry often enjoyed during the winter months, while sipping on warm mulled wine to keep you cosy. Afterward, enjoy a goulash soup lunch, with your very own chimney cake served for dessert. The afternoon is free for you to explore more of Szentendre at your leisure. In the evening, we'll return to Budapest and indulge in Christmas dinner back at the hotel. Meals included: B,L,D
Boxing Day, Budapest

Day 4 Boxing Day, Budapest

Start your day with a leisurely breakfast and some free time to explore Budapest at your own pace. Whether you prefer to relax or enjoy a morning walk through the city, there’s plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings. Later, we'll embark on a scenic cruise along the Danube River, which will offer spectacular views of Budapest’s iconic landmarks. From the imposing Parliament Building to the historic Buda Castle, the city’s skyline is truly breathtaking. Following the cruise, we’ll cross the river to the Buda side, to visit Mathias Church, one of the most beautiful and historic churches in Budapest. The church’s stunning architecture and fascinating history make it a highlight of your visit. After the guided tour, we'll return to the hotel for a relaxing dinner. Meals included: B,D
Budapest - at Leisure

Day 5 Budapest - at Leisure

Today you can enjoy a day at leisure, with the freedom to explore Budapest further or relax as you wish. Alternatively, you can join the optional excursion to a Puzsta show and the Royal Palace of Gödöllö. This traditional experience features a thrilling horse show, where expert riders showcase their equestrian skills. A delicious traditional lunch will be served alongside. In the afternoon, head to Gödöllo Palace, a stunning Baroque residence that once served as the royal palace of Franz Joseph and Elisabeth of Austria. Here, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the palace before experiencing its illumination show as the evening light creates a magical atmosphere in the palace gardens. In the evening, celebrate your final night in Budapest with a farewell dinner at a lively Hungarian restaurant where you can enjoy local wine paired with delicious local dishes. Meals included: B,D
